LECTORS
A lector is the person who proclaims the first or second reading at Mass. This person also may lead the Psalm (in the absence of a cantor) and the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass. A lector must be a fully initiated, practicing Catholic.Training is provided.
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION (EMHC)
EMHC distributes Communion during Mass. Strong personal faith and witness is core to one who serves in this ministry. A lector must be a fully initiated, practicing Catholic. Training is provided.
ALTAR SERVERS
Youth of the parish (5th grade or older) are invited to become Altar Servers. Altar Servers assist the priest during the Mass. It is one of the most helpful and meaningful services that people can perform in the parish and is an opportunity to learn more about the church and our worship of God. If you have received First Communion and Confirmation and are in the 5th grade or older, you are eligible to participate. Training is provided.
USHERS
An usher/greeter creates a welcoming environment by greeting parishioners and visitors. They take up the collection and distribute bulletins. An usher should be a fully initiated, practicing Catholic. Training is provided.
MUSIC MINISTRIES
The music ministry strives to invite and lead the congregation in full worship through songs. Together they collaborate to help our parishioners celebrate the Mass on Sundays, Feast Days and Sacraments throughout the year. We are always in need of singers, piano players, guitar players, and organists to lead worship at all Masses.
