CHILDREN'S LITURGY

The Children’s Liturgy of the Word provides an environment for young children to hear and learn about God’s Word in the
Sunday readings. The purpose is for children to engage and become active participants of the Mass celebration and to
help them grow in their faith.

When is it offered?
During the 10:00 a.m. Mass from last week in August through June.

Who may participate?
Children ages 4-8 years old; generally those who have not received Holy Communion. Older siblings are welcome to be a support.

How does it work?
Children are dismissed from Mass before the First Reading. They rejoin their families after the Homily.

Do I need to register my child to attend?
No, all children are welcome to join when called up for dismissal. For more information or if you are interested in being a volunteer for this program contact Heather Olson at 712-318-3030 or holson76@gmail.com.
