OCIA (formerly RCIA)

Which one best describes you?
– I would like to know more about the Catholic faith.

– I have been thinking about joining the Catholic Church.

– I was baptized but never received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation and now would like to.

If any of these describe you, consider joining OCIA!

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is the process through which one becomes a full member of the Catholic Church. OCIA involves a journey of faith and discernment, including instruction in the beliefs of the Catholic Church.

It is open to any adult wishing to become Catholic which includes unbaptized adults, those who have been baptized in another faith and for adults who were baptized Catholic but never received the sacraments of the Eucharist and/or Confirmation.

Classes are held on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. beginning in August and ending at the Easter Vigil. If you are interested in learning more or would like to participate please contact the parish office at 712-318-3030.
